Serve up the fun! Experience one of Sydney’s most exciting FREE community sporting events.
Play on a full-size professional badminton court, enjoy ‘Come & Try’ sessions, watch professional and para badminton demonstrations, or join the Corporate Group Challenge.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, everyone is welcome.

Badminton NSW – Part of the AFT International Sports Fitness Festival in Sydney’s Market City A week of Sports, Fun and Community from 24 – 30 August inclusive
Sydney’s Market City’s iconic central atrium will be transformed into a full-size, competition standard Badminton centre court — the first of its kind inside a shopping centre in Australia.
An official The Australian Book of Records attempt will be staged across the week, and every person who steps onto that court becomes part of Sydney’s sporting history.
• Come and Try Badminton — Free drop-in sessions every day for beginners and experienced players alike. No equipment, no experience, no problem.
• Para Badminton — Inclusive sessions featuring Badminton NSW’s Para teams
• Exhibition matches – NSW National and International players
• Corporate Companies Challenge Monday to Wednesday 24 – 26 August
• Lucky draw prizes in accuracy to serve shuttles into designated holes
• Shuttle shooting machine Challenge rapid shuttlecocks firing at the contestants
Badminton section of the Sports Fitness Festival runs daily from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
