Badminton NSW Shuttle Smash at the The Ponds’ Riverbank Public School on Monday evening 9 th March with 33 junior players introduced to Badminton with fun, active, inclusive engaging games with them.
Shuttle Smash is a beginner introduction to Badminton designed to support children’s physical, cognitive, social and psychological development. Through fun skills, drills and games, it teaches the basics of the sport.
This is a continuity of the Badminton Australia Shuttle Smash program launched with Club Coordinators Geogi and Joshi in 2023 and growing interest as shown despite shocking weather that night.
Badminton shouldn’t stop after Come n Try! FREE Racquets were given to every child participating in the Come and Try session so they can continue to play at home or use it for their future coaching session.
The local club coordinator(Geogi and Joshi) had organised further weekly coaching sessions for those parent and children whom were keen about badminton.
Feedback from Geogi and Joshi – Today you(Carolyn) and Keith have made a special day for us and the kids in the training programme with your presence and guidance. We are getting great responses from both parents and students and they are all excited.I am very positive that these kids will progress from their current level. I am very obliged for your continuing support for us and once again thank you for both of your time today with us.
